Setting: 2050 South Korea. Agent is standing middle of stage, waiting for the president’s message. Behind the stage, president gets ready to give a message.
President Kim: (off stage) All agents, listen up! I have an urgent announcement. Please listen and DO NOT panic. I have just now received top-secret information that Japan is planning to launch out a full-out attack. Each agent will be assigned specific missions in preparation to the battle. Agent X, please report to my office right now!
Agent X: Another mission, perhaps? I better get going before Mr.Kim gets angry. (Runs off stage)
(Enter President Kim. He is visibly very anxious about something. He keeps looking at his watch and can’t stay in one spot)
Agent X: Yes, Mr.Kim. Agent X reporting right here.
President Kim: I have a special mission for you. Agent X, are you good with history?
Agent X: Yes, sir.
President Kim: Are you aware of the Korean General Yi Sun Shin?
Agent X: Yes, sir. General Yi Sun Shin was born in 1545 lived in Seoul Yin Hyun dong. Then he applied for the military 1572, but unfortunately he got injured riding a horse and failed the test in 1572. And then—
President Kim: (cutting her off) That’s enough. That’s enough. I don’t have time to hear about every aspect of his life. The point is we need him back here. He’s our last hope to win this battle.

(Turns toward the time machine in center stage—starts looking around)
Ok. Let’s see how this will work. (Goes into the time machine) Is this it? (Press the button) AHHHHHHH!!!! What is this?!!!! (Time machine starts shaking)
ACT 2
Agent: Where am I? Is this Norang Haejun?
(Agent X goes to around the town and asks one of the Korean couples for help).
Agent X: Excuse me, do you know where General Yi Sun Shin is?
Husband: General Yi Sun Shin is in the battle field. Why are you looking for him? You seem very.... (Looks at the agent’s clothes)
Agent X: Oh, I am here to ask Yi Sun Shin for help.
Wife: Oh... what help?
Agent X: (Ignores the question) Sorry, that’s classified. Thank you guys for help.
Couple: No problem.
(Agent X wanders around and sees how the past is so different from the present).
Agent X: Wow... Everything looks so different from the houses we have nowadays...
Agent X: The clothes and everything... Wait a minute! What am I doing? I’m supposed to be looking for Yi Sun Shin! But I have it’s getting late and all... I should just find him tomorrow... But where am I doing to stay?
(Agent X looks back to the couple’s house).
Agent X: Maybe I can ask the couple if I can stay for a night...
(Agent X goes to the couple’s house and knocks on their door).
Agent X: Excuse me? Is anyone there?
Husband: Oh, it’s you again. What can we help you?
Agent X: Would you mind if I can just stay for a night? I will pay you guys some money. How much should I pay you guys?
Wife: Oh... yes you are welcome to stay... Well maybe for a fee of 500 won if that’s no trouble.
Agent X: 500 won?! That’s it?! Oh my gosh! You guys are so generous! Thank you so much!
Wife: What are you talking about?! 500 won is a lot of money!
Agent X: Psssshhh... No! That’s nothing.
Husband: ... What are you?! You don’t even look that rich! Why are you showing off?!
Agent X: Well, the place that I came from is.... Oh what am I saying! Never mind! Yes... It is a lot of money... Sorry if I acted like a jerk... Here is the money.
Couple: (Looks at each other suspiciously) Thank you.
Husband: Here is your room.
Agent X: Thanks. (After the husband leaves) Wow... this room looks very... OLD. I mean even my grandmother doesn’t live like this. Ah, it’ll be okay, just deal with it for a night and find Yi Sun Shin tomorrow morning.
(Agent X falls asleep and later searches for the bathroom).
Agent X: Where is the bathroom?! I have to go!
(Agent X knocks on the couple’s room)
Agent X: Excuse me, but do you know where the bathroom is? I really have to go number 2!
Wife: Oh my! You are going to wake the whole village if you scream like that! The bathroom is over to the right.
Agent X: That’s a bathroom?!

Husband: That fellow is quite strange. (And the couple closes the door).
Agent X: Oh my gosh, it stinks in here. By the way, where the heck is the toilet?! (Looks around the bathroom) Oh no... That’s the toilet?! Oh geez... That’s just wrong. I am not going to take my number 2 over there! That’s not even a toilet! That’s a huge whole! Oh my... (About to throw up) No toilet paper?! That’s it! I’m going back home!
(Agent X comes out of the bathroom, but holds his stomach).
Agent X: I can’t hold it anymore... I have t go right now! Right this second! I should just not look down and just close my nose, then everything will be alright.
(Agent X goes back to the building)
(Agent X then starts to sing “Don’t worry, be happy”)
Agent X: “Don’t worry, about a thing... Every little thing, will be alright...”
Agent X: Oh my gosh, it stinks....
(Agent X comes out of the bathroom)
Agent X: I can’t believe I am here... Everything is so different...
(The next morning)
Wife: Excuse me? Do you want something to eat? Or are you going to go find the general?
Agent X: I should be heading off. But thanks for your offer.
(Agent X leaves the couple’s house)
Agent X: Now... where is Yi Sun Shin? Where can I find the battle of Norang Haejun?
(Agent X walks around to find the battle)
Agent X: Oh! There he is! General! General Yi Sun Shin!
Agent X: The battle is so chaotic... Wait, I just found him where’d he go now?!
Agent X: Where are you Admiral Yi?
(Then suddenly, Agent X spots Yi Sun Shin)
Agent X: There he is! General Yi!
(But Agent X sees Yi Sun Shin about to get attacked by an enemy)
Yi Sun Shin: Do not let the enemy know my....
Agent X: Hello Admiral Yi Sun Shin, would you mind if I take you with me?
Yi Sun Shin: What? Who are you? I’m suppose to say my famous quote! Leave me alone! I’m suppose to die right now! “Do not let the enemy know...”
Agent: Sorry sir, but you must go with me to 2050.
(Agent X then takes Yi Sun Shin back to the time machine)
Yi Sun Shin: What? What are you talking about? 2050? Are you crazy?
Agent X: You have an important task to do for your country, General Yi Sun Shin.
Yi Sun Shin: Excuse me, but I was doing something important for my country until YOU came into the spot where you cut off my famous quote!
(While Yi Sun Shin was talking and arguing to the Agent X, the Agent X unknowingly took Yi Sun Shin into the time machine and left to go to the year of 2050).
ACT 3
Agent X: So General Yi Sun Shin, are you feeling better from your recovery time in the medical center?
Yi Sun Shin: As a matter a fact, I am Agent, thanks for asking, so we should probably move on yes?
Agent X: Certainly General Yi, right this way, you need to get appropriate garments from the current trends or you will be recognized!
Yi Sun Shin: I understand Agent X, but where can I get new robes? We left my seamstress and my tailor behind!
Agent X: That will not be a problem General, times have changed, and we now mass produce clothes. It is all ready for you to purchase.
Yi Sun Shin: Mass produce?! But how is that possible? Do you mean to say you harvest clothes like you harvest the early morning rice in the monsoon season?!

(Walks over to hardware department)
Yi Sun Shin: Excuse me, can I borrow a crank-drill, I have ten imperial shillings I can pay you right now, and I promise I can have it to you by....
Janitor: (Cutting him off) Hey listen buddy, I don’t know what stupid theater company sent you off like this to pick up hardware, but in Hometown, there is a strict policy about this kind of stuff. Go buy it at the stalls before I call security. Got that chief?
Yi Sun Shin: I will not stand for such mannerisms! You will address me by Admiral, and my name is...
Janitor: Okay tough guy thats it. (Talking on radio) This is the hardware department and we’ve got a code 6-2-2, lets get this clown out of here.
(Shop Owner arrives, tries to take Yi out of the store)
Agent X: What is going on here?! I am with the korean government, and this is a presidential comrade of utmost importance. Remove your bindings on him lest you want to be arrested.
Yi Sun Shin: Thats right.... CHIEF! Now where is the latrine located?
Shop Owner: Sorry sir, the bathroom is located at the exit. Please do not arrest me...
Yi Sun Shin: No need to be afraid young lady. I am only here to serve.
(Walking into the bathroom)
Yi Sun Shin: Okay.... so where do I.... what is this.... (looking around confused) I guess I just release it into the water here.... Although it seems awfully clean.. Perhaps I should wash my face as to not waste the water.... (Washes face) Okay then. Let’s get this over with. (Disposes waste) Ahhh much better. If this was the forest... there would be some Red Tea Leaves I could wipe with. I guess I’ll have to make do with this white silk on the wall. Seems very nice though. Hmm now where does it all go? What does this button do? (Flush) OH MY GOD! WHAT IS THIS VORTEX! THE SEA GODS ARE DEVOURING ME! I WILL FIGHT TO THE DEATH! THE TORNADOES OF THE DEEP WILL NEVER TAKE ME DOWN!

Yi Sun Shin: (Unplugging himself from the toilet) Ah. Of course. Sorry.
Agent X: (Nodding) We have wasted much time. Let us hurry.
Yi Sun Shin: Back into the metal chariot I suppose?
(Walks off the stage)
(Agent X enters, while General Yi is working)
Agent X: General Yi, the president has ordered me to check up on your progress. How is your battle plan proceeding?
Yi Sun Shin: it seems to be going well. I’m not sure how exactly it will work out, but I have a vision in mind.
Agent X: General, may I ask what this “vision” is?
Yi Sun Shin: (spreads the battle plan scroll) it’s not much, but take a look. I want to make the second Gu Buk Sun.
Agent X: (amazed at the work general Yi has put in—talking to himself) the revival of legendary Gu Buk Sun. The return of the legend! (Becomes quiet and starts listening attentively to the general)
Yi Sun Shin: (pointing at different parts of the paper) So this part of the Gu Buk Sun will be covered with poisoned steel blades. The original Gu Buk Sun was covered with simple iron blades. But these were often times not that sharp. In the new version of Gu Buk Sun, we should make sure this is the 1st front defense mechanism that will surely discourage others from intruding into the battleship. Then, moving on to the head. The head will be kept the same shape of a turtle, but it will be made out of Titanium. I never had this back in my days, but I realized this metal is really strong at the same time heat resistant and light. Since we are going to put a rocket launcher inside the turtle’s head, its heat resistance will greatly help. And also if you look over here—

Yi Sun Shin: (Talking to himself) Window? What do he mean a glass window? (Screaming out to Agent X who is already gone) Wait, what do you mean by window? (Realizing she’s gone, GYSS sighs) OK. Let’s see what this is. (Head toward the MAC book and starts clicking keys.) Is this it? Maybe, this? No? ARG, how do I turn this box on? (Starts banging the keys out of frustration, then suddenly the computer turns on-the computer speaks)
Computer: WELCOME to window 2050 I-MAC.
Yi Sun Shin: AHHHHH. Who is it? Who is in the military base? A traitor has entered the base! Soldiers!! (Full out panic)

Yi Sun Shin: Is this voice coming from this box? (Puts his ear on the computer)

(Anna acts like the clock. Steven holds the day sign- BLACK OUT)
D-DAY: the gu-buk sun is covered in a cloak; soldiers and agent X is waiting for Yi Sun Shin. Yi Sun Shin finally appears in a clean suit.
Yi Sun Shin: Good morning, ladies and gentleman. Thank you for coming. I know you all want to see the Gu Buk Sun. (Brings out the claw)

Agent X: Everyone, please settle down. I will like to say a word in behalf of president who couldn’t be here. Now that Gu Buk Sun is ready, we only have ONE THING to work on. Yi-Sun Shin: (looks up the sky) The sun is rising. It is our destiny, our last chance to demolish our opponents. Agent X, release the Turtle Ship!
Agent X; (hesitates) General Yi, the Japanese troops are nowhere in sights. Do you really believe it’s necessary to already release the Turtle Ship?
Yi-Sun Shin: We shall wait, for patience is our virtue. We shall wait until the Japanese troops cross our border. We cannot risk our golden opportunity by a simple lack of preparation. When the time comes, we shall ambush, fully surrounding the Japanese troop. That way, we will be guaranteed to demolish the Japanese troops.
Agent X: Brilliant... Brilliant plan General Yi. My sincere apology for questioning such excellent tactic of yours.
Yi Sun-Shin: (gives a little smile) No worries, I am no man of perfection. I do welcome all your doubts you have towards my plans. Anyways, let’s get ready for this battle shall we?
Agent X: Yes! (giving a powerful commanding gesture) Release the Turtle Ship.
(Slowly, the Turtle Ship approaches from the far end)
(Agent X and Yi Sun-Shin hides behind the ship)
Agent X: (quietly) General Yi, how long do you estimate we should wait?
Yi Sun-Shin: (quietly as well) Not for long. If I’m correct, sun rise is the best time for the ships to sail across the ocean. (silently waits about 5-10 seconds) In fact, there they come.
(Japanese troops approach from the opposite end)
General Mihamoto: Hahahaha! These filthy Korean ships are nowhere in sight! Perfect plan... just perfect! We’ll just attack them first so they won’t even have time to group together to fight back. I guess it’ll be an easy victory for us. (looking at his soldiers) Oy! prepare for our first victory party tonight!
Japanese Soldier: Indeed, General Mihamoto. But general, I am probably wrong, but I’ve heard this rumor going around lately.
General Mihamoto: Oh yea? Well what’s it about
Japanese soldier: You... probably won’t believe this. But, i’ve heard that Admiral Yi Sun-Shin has returned.
General Mihamoto: (looking at the soldier like he’s a psychotic maniac) A what...?

General Mihamoto: Are you talking about THE Yi Sun-shin. The one from 500 years ago, with the Turtle Ship?
Japanese soldier: (silently) yes... I believe so...
General Mihamoto: Turn around
(Japanese soldier turns around and face back from General Mihamoto)
(Mihamoto smacks the soldier’s head. The soldier falls down violently)
General Mihamoto: No time to fool around. Get real.
Japnaese Soldier: (quickly gets up) I... I apologize deeply general... I was just sharing the rumor that I heard.
General Mihamoto: That can’t be real. No need to worry about a RUMOR. Don’t you understand we’re in a war here? We have to focus to the reality!
Japanese soldier: Yes, General Mihamoto!
General Mihamoto: Now go and prepare the ships for our attack!
Japanese soldier: Yes sir!
(soldier hurriedly walks away. General Mihamoto stares through the open sea. But suddenly General Mihamoto jumps back in surprise. He spots a Korean ship. He realizes that it’s not an ordinary Korean ship, for it looks very different and much more advance. Sooner or later, he realizes other Korean ships begin to appear, surrounding the Japanese fleets)
General Mihamoto: What the... all troops assemble! Get ready to attack!
Japanese solider: General... is... is that... who I think he is...?
General Mihamoto: No... but it can’t be...!
(from the opposite end, Yi Sun Shin appears with a confident posture)
Yi-Sun Shin: Hahaha, how are you doing General Mihamoto. I’ve heard a lot of about you.Yes, it’s a surprise isn’t it?
General Mihamoto: I don’t get it... how can you... you be here?!
Yi-Sun Shin: Pshh, it’s a long story my friend. Let’s not waste time here rambling about our past. I think both you and I know why we’re here, right?
General Mihamoto: Even if you really ARE Admiral Yi-Sun Shin, don’t you think Japan will fall for the same trap twice!

(the battle begin, and the Korean navy easily destroys the Japanese navy)
(After awhile, the atmosphere is now completely towards the Korean fleets)
Yi-Sun Shin: Great. (looking towards Agent X) We’ve got this, don’t let any of the Japanese escape!
Agent X: Yes sir.
(from behind a Japanese soldier secretly takes out a high-tech sniper and aims at Yi-Sun Shin’s heart)
Yi-Sun Shin: Don’t give up! This battle is ours!!!
(right then, the Japanese soldier fires and a bullet runs through Yi-Sun Shin’s chest)
Yi-Sun Shin: Ugh....!!
(dramatically and slowly, Yi-Sun Shin falls down)
Agent X: Admiral! Admiral! Are you alright sir?!
Yi-Sun Shin: (coughs) I should’ve been more careful...
Agent X: (worriedly) I’ll call the paramedic right away. Just hold on Admiral!
Yi-Sun Shin: No it’s no need. (hits Agent X’s head but very weakly due to his lack of strength) Think you dummy, we’re in a middle of a battle! What’s more important? A single person’s life or the entire nation? Don’t worry about me and go back to the battle.
Agent X: No... no! We have come this far together Admiral. I can’t let you go, just not now. You have to see our nation win. You have to lead us!
Yi-Sun Shin: Foolish. I’m no need anymore. You guys have everything that you need to win. (sighs heavily and deeply) If i die... if... i die....
Agent X: No! Don’t you say that word Admiral!

(Yi-Sun Shin then dies immediately. Agent X breaks in tears. Scene slowly fade to black, end of scene)

Despite our great victory against the Japanese troops, the Republic of Korea has witnessed a mighty death of a national hero. His name, belongs to none other than Admiral Yi Sun Shin. Born in April 28, 1545 and died in December 15, 2050, Korea’s greatest general has sacrificed his life to bring a victory to our nation. His great achievements of forging the original and the modern Turtle Ship as well as his daring and victorious naval tactics shall never be forgotten. A new age is approaching, and today, we give our farewells to our past. This is for a brighter better tomorrow.

(Enter President Kim. He is visibly very anxious about something. He keeps looking at his watch and can’t stay in one spot)

President Kim: Are you aware of the Korean General Yi Sun Shin?
Agent X: Yes, sir. General Yi Sun Shin was born in 1545 lived in Seoul Yin Hyun dong. Then he applied for the military 1572, but unfortunately he got injured riding a horse and failed the test in 1572. And then—
President Kim: (cutting her off) That’s enough. That’s enough. I don’t have time to hear about every aspect of his life. The point is we need him back here. He’s our last hope to win this battle.

(Turns toward the time machine in center stage—starts looking around)
Ok. Let’s see how this will work. (Goes into the time machine) Is this it? (Press the button) AHHHHHHH!!!! What is this?!!!! (Time machine starts shaking)
ACT 2
Agent: Where am I? Is this Norang Haejun?
(Agent X goes to around the town and asks one of the Korean couples for help).
Agent X: Excuse me, do you know where General Yi Sun Shin is?
Husband: General Yi Sun Shin is in the battle field. Why are you looking for him? You seem very.... (Looks at the agent’s clothes)
Agent X: Oh, I am here to ask Yi Sun Shin for help.
Wife: Oh... what help?
Agent X: (Ignores the question) Sorry, that’s classified. Thank you guys for help.
Couple: No problem.
(Agent X wanders around and sees how the past is so different from the present).
Agent X: Wow... Everything looks so different from the houses we have nowadays...
Agent X: The clothes and everything... Wait a minute! What am I doing? I’m supposed to be looking for Yi Sun Shin! But I have it’s getting late and all... I should just find him tomorrow... But where am I doing to stay?
(Agent X looks back to the couple’s house).
Agent X: Maybe I can ask the couple if I can stay for a night...
(Agent X goes to the couple’s house and knocks on their door).
Agent X: Excuse me? Is anyone there?
Husband: Oh, it’s you again. What can we help you?
Agent X: Would you mind if I can just stay for a night? I will pay you guys some money. How much should I pay you guys?
Wife: Oh... yes you are welcome to stay... Well maybe for a fee of 500 won if that’s no trouble.
Agent X: 500 won?! That’s it?! Oh my gosh! You guys are so generous! Thank you so much!
Wife: What are you talking about?! 500 won is a lot of money!
Agent X: Psssshhh... No! That’s nothing.
Husband: ... What are you?! You don’t even look that rich! Why are you showing off?!
Agent X: Well, the place that I came from is.... Oh what am I saying! Never mind! Yes... It is a lot of money... Sorry if I acted like a jerk... Here is the money.
Couple: (Looks at each other suspiciously) Thank you.
Husband: Here is your room.
Agent X: Thanks. (After the husband leaves) Wow... this room looks very... OLD. I mean even my grandmother doesn’t live like this. Ah, it’ll be okay, just deal with it for a night and find Yi Sun Shin tomorrow morning.
(Agent X falls asleep and later searches for the bathroom).
Agent X: Where is the bathroom?! I have to go!
(Agent X knocks on the couple’s room)
Agent X: Excuse me, but do you know where the bathroom is? I really have to go number 2!
Wife: Oh my! You are going to wake the whole village if you scream like that! The bathroom is over to the right.
Agent X: That’s a bathroom?!
Wife: Yes...
Agent X: Oh, yes, I knew that. Thank you.
Husband: That fellow is quite strange. (And the couple closes the door).
Agent X: Oh my gosh, it stinks in here. By the way, where the heck is the toilet?! (Looks around the bathroom) Oh no... That’s the toilet?! Oh geez... That’s just wrong. I am not going to take my number 2 over there! That’s not even a toilet! That’s a huge whole! Oh my... (About to throw up) No toilet paper?! That’s it! I’m going back home!
(Agent X comes out of the bathroom, but holds his stomach).
Agent X: I can’t hold it anymore... I have t go right now! Right this second! I should just not look down and just close my nose, then everything will be alright.
(Agent X goes back to the building)
(Agent X then starts to sing “Don’t worry, be happy”)
Agent X: “Don’t worry, about a thing... Every little thing, will be alright...”
Agent X: Oh my gosh, it stinks....
(Agent X comes out of the bathroom)
Agent X: I can’t believe I am here... Everything is so different...
(The next morning)
Wife: Excuse me? Do you want something to eat? Or are you going to go find the general?
Agent X: I should be heading off. But thanks for your offer.
(Agent X leaves the couple’s house)
Agent X: Now... where is Yi Sun Shin? Where can I find the battle of Norang Haejun?
(Agent X walks around to find the battle)
Agent X: Oh! There he is! General! General Yi Sun Shin!
Agent X: The battle is so chaotic... Wait, I just found him where’d he go now?!
Agent X: Where are you Admiral Yi?
(Then suddenly, Agent X spots Yi Sun Shin)
Agent X: There he is! General Yi!
(But Agent X sees Yi Sun Shin about to get attacked by an enemy)
Yi Sun Shin: Do not let the enemy know my....
Agent X: Hello Admiral Yi Sun Shin, would you mind if I take you with me?
Yi Sun Shin: What? Who are you? I’m suppose to say my famous quote! Leave me alone! I’m suppose to die right now! “Do not let the enemy know...”
Agent: Sorry sir, but you must go with me to 2050.
(Agent X then takes Yi Sun Shin back to the time machine)
Yi Sun Shin: What? What are you talking about? 2050? Are you crazy?
Agent X: You have an important task to do for your country, General Yi Sun Shin.
Yi Sun Shin: Excuse me, but I was doing something important for my country until YOU came into the spot where you cut off my famous quote!
(While Yi Sun Shin was talking and arguing to the Agent X, the Agent X unknowingly took Yi Sun Shin into the time machine and left to go to the year of 2050).
ACT 3
Agent X: So General Yi Sun Shin, are you feeling better from your recovery time in the medical center?
Yi Sun Shin: As a matter a fact, I am Agent, thanks for asking, so we should probably move on yes?
Agent X: Certainly General Yi, right this way, you need to get appropriate garments from the current trends or you will be recognized!
Yi Sun Shin: I understand Agent X, but where can I get new robes? We left my seamstress and my tailor behind!
Agent X: That will not be a problem General, times have changed, and we now mass produce clothes. It is all ready for you to purchase.
Yi Sun Shin: Mass produce?! But how is that possible? Do you mean to say you harvest clothes like you harvest the early morning rice in the monsoon season?!

Yi Sun Shin: (Looks around) Good lord, how long did it take for your peasants to amass such a large store of goods! How is this on sale? Its the only one in the region am I correct?
Agent X: Not exactly... there’s another one on the next avenue, but this one was the closest.
Yi Sun Shin: Impossible... In my old town of Geoncheon-dong, I had to walk back with my donkey 15 miles until I reached the stores of grain and rice for my family. Me and my brothers often spent entire days getting merchandise from the county market.
Agent X: Well, there will be nothing of that. Let us take this suit and be out of here. Is there anything else you need? As you know you will be furnished with but a basic room in the President’s quarters, and you might want to pick up some extra tools.
Yi Sun Shin: Certainly. Where is the steel-smith? I want to ask if I could borrow a crank-drill, and perhaps 2 planks of steel.
Agent X: The hardware department is located right over there, but let the storekeeper help you, as I have to pick up a few more things.
(Walks over to hardware department)
Yi Sun Shin: Excuse me, can I borrow a crank-drill, I have ten imperial shillings I can pay you right now, and I promise I can have it to you by....
Janitor: (Cutting him off) Hey listen buddy, I don’t know what stupid theater company sent you off like this to pick up hardware, but in Hometown, there is a strict policy about this kind of stuff. Go buy it at the stalls before I call security. Got that chief?
Yi Sun Shin: I will not stand for such mannerisms! You will address me by Admiral, and my name is...
Janitor: Okay tough guy thats it. (Talking on radio) This is the hardware department and we’ve got a code 6-2-2, lets get this clown out of here.
(Shop Owner arrives, tries to take Yi out of the store)
Agent X: What is going on here?! I am with the korean government, and this is a presidential comrade of utmost importance. Remove your bindings on him lest you want to be arrested.
Yi Sun Shin: Thats right.... CHIEF! Now where is the latrine located?
Shop Owner: Sorry sir, the bathroom is located at the exit. Please do not arrest me...
Yi Sun Shin: No need to be afraid young lady. I am only here to serve.
(Walking into the bathroom)
Yi Sun Shin: Okay.... so where do I.... what is this.... (looking around confused) I guess I just release it into the water here.... Although it seems awfully clean.. Perhaps I should wash my face as to not waste the water.... (Washes face) Okay then. Let’s get this over with. (Disposes waste) Ahhh much better. If this was the forest... there would be some Red Tea Leaves I could wipe with. I guess I’ll have to make do with this white silk on the wall. Seems very nice though. Hmm now where does it all go? What does this button do? (Flush) OH MY GOD! WHAT IS THIS VORTEX! THE SEA GODS ARE DEVOURING ME! I WILL FIGHT TO THE DEATH! THE TORNADOES OF THE DEEP WILL NEVER TAKE ME DOWN!
Agent X: WHAT IS GOING ON!
Yi Sun Shin: NO DO NOT COME IN! IT WILL GET YOU! SAVE YOURSELF! LEAVE ME TO MY WATERY DEATH!
Agent X: Did you happen to press a silver button?
Yi Sun Shin: YES! IT LEADS TO POSEIDON’S WRATH! WHY IS THIS HERE?!
Agent X: Admiral Yi. That was the flush button. It disposes of your waste in a clean and efficient manner by using a slight vacuum and the power of gravity.
Yi Sun Shin: (Unplugging himself from the toilet) Ah. Of course. Sorry.
Agent X: (Nodding) We have wasted much time. Let us hurry.
Yi Sun Shin: Back into the metal chariot I suppose?
(Walks off the stage)
(Agent X enters, while General Yi is working)
Agent X: General Yi, the president has ordered me to check up on your progress. How is your battle plan proceeding?
Yi Sun Shin: it seems to be going well. I’m not sure how exactly it will work out, but I have a vision in mind.
Agent X: General, may I ask what this “vision” is?
Yi Sun Shin: (spreads the battle plan scroll) it’s not much, but take a look. I want to make the second Gu Buk Sun.
Agent X: (amazed at the work general Yi has put in—talking to himself) the revival of legendary Gu Buk Sun. The return of the legend! (Becomes quiet and starts listening attentively to the general)
Yi Sun Shin: (pointing at different parts of the paper) So this part of the Gu Buk Sun will be covered with poisoned steel blades. The original Gu Buk Sun was covered with simple iron blades. But these were often times not that sharp. In the new version of Gu Buk Sun, we should make sure this is the 1st front defense mechanism that will surely discourage others from intruding into the battleship. Then, moving on to the head. The head will be kept the same shape of a turtle, but it will be made out of Titanium. I never had this back in my days, but I realized this metal is really strong at the same time heat resistant and light. Since we are going to put a rocket launcher inside the turtle’s head, its heat resistance will greatly help. And also if you look over here—
Agent X: Wait a moment!
Yi Sun Shin: (timid) you don’t like it?
Agent X: No.No. I just think that’s enough of explanations. It already seems GREAT! Do you need any help?
Yi Sun Shin: Not for now. I just need some resources such as the Titanium boards and many others. Should I just write a letter to you?

Yi Sun Shin: Like getting a paper and writing the message with a pen and sending it.
Agent X: Non-sense. We don’t do those stuffs around here, remember?
Yi Sun Shin: Then what should I —
Agent X: Use the email. I already inserted the address in the computer so when you can just log in to the computer and the window will pop up. I will reply to you as soon as possible. Other than that keep up the work, General! I’m sure President Kim will be very pleased. (heads out)
Yi Sun Shin: (Talking to himself) Window? What do he mean a glass window? (Screaming out to Agent X who is already gone) Wait, what do you mean by window? (Realizing she’s gone, GYSS sighs) OK. Let’s see what this is. (Head toward the MAC book and starts clicking keys.) Is this it? Maybe, this? No? ARG, how do I turn this box on? (Starts banging the keys out of frustration, then suddenly the computer turns on-the computer speaks)
Computer: WELCOME to window 2050 I-MAC.
Yi Sun Shin: AHHHHH. Who is it? Who is in the military base? A traitor has entered the base! Soldiers!! (Full out panic)
Computer: Please state your name in order to log into your account.
Yi Sun Shin: Is this voice coming from this box? (Puts his ear on the computer)

Yi Sun Shin: It’s this box talking. (Sigh of relief) I thought it was a traitor of something.

Yi Sun Shin: What a cranky little box! My name is general Yi Sun Shin!

5 HOURS LATER (Some one has the sign)
Yi Sun Shin: (still typing) metal boards. I’M DONE! YES! I’m Yi Sun Shin. I want some metal boards, blades, glues and some people to help me construct! YES, I DID IT.
Computer: Would you like to send?
Yi Sun Shin: YES!
Computer: your message sent.
Yi Sun Shin: Now that I’m done writing what was it again? RIGHT, E-MAIL. It’s time to get into work. (Starts working)
(Anna acts like the clock. Steven holds the day sign- BLACK OUT)
D-DAY: the gu-buk sun is covered in a cloak; soldiers and agent X is waiting for Yi Sun Shin. Yi Sun Shin finally appears in a clean suit.
Yi Sun Shin: Good morning, ladies and gentleman. Thank you for coming. I know you all want to see the Gu Buk Sun. But before, I will like to say a brief thank you to everyone who helped out in this project. I couldn’t have done it without all of your help. Now, I present you with the Gu Buk Sun 2050. (Brings out the claw)
(Everyone in awe. CLAP CLAP CLAP) – Anna holds up the sign “CLAP-AUDIENCE”
Agent X: Everyone, please settle down. I will like to say a word in behalf of president who couldn’t be here. Now that Gu Buk Sun is ready, we only have ONE THING to work on. Soldiers, we need to TRAIN. TRAIN. TRIAN. From tomorrow, general Yi Sun Shin will be going on intense training wit the soldiers. For our country! (Salute)
Soldiers: (Salute) - BLACK OUT
(Music in the background-soldiers are working outè PUSH UPS, JUMP JACKS until suddenly Siren!!!)
(WARNING.WARNING)
Agent X: EVERYONE, Japan has finally attacked us. GET READY! PUT ON YOUR ARMOR, AND ARM YOURSELVES! General, get your military unit ready and the Gu Buk Sun!!
Yi Sun Shin: Everyone, it’s time! Do not be afraid, fight for your family, your name and your country! Those you fight will be doomed to die! Those who fight to the death shall be awarded with a life of prosperity!
Act 4
Yi-Sun Shin: (looks up the sky) The sun is rising. It is our destiny, our last chance to demolish our opponents. Agent X, release the Turtle Ship!
Agent X; (hesitates) General Yi, the Japanese troops are nowhere in sights. Do you really believe it’s necessary to already release the Turtle Ship?
Yi-Sun Shin: We shall wait, for patience is our virtue. We shall wait until the Japanese troops cross our border. We cannot risk our golden opportunity by a simple lack of preparation. When the time comes, we shall ambush, fully surrounding the Japanese troop. That way, we will be guaranteed to demolish the Japanese troops.
Agent X: Brilliant... Brilliant plan General Yi. My sincere apology for questioning such excellent tactic of yours.
Yi Sun-Shin: (gives a little smile) No worries, I am no man of perfection. I do welcome all your doubts you have towards my plans. Anyways, let’s get ready for this battle shall we?
Agent X: Yes! (giving a powerful commanding gesture) Release the Turtle Ship.
(Slowly, the Turtle Ship approaches from the far end)
(Agent X and Yi Sun-Shin hides behind the ship)
Agent X: (quietly) General Yi, how long do you estimate we should wait?
Yi Sun-Shin: (quietly as well) Not for long. If I’m correct, sun rise is the best time for the ships to sail across the ocean. (silently waits about 5-10 seconds) In fact, there they come.
(Japanese troops approach from the opposite end)
General Mihamoto: Hahahaha! These filthy Korean ships are nowhere in sight! Perfect plan... just perfect! We’ll just attack them first so they won’t even have time to group together to fight back. I guess it’ll be an easy victory for us. (looking at his soldiers) Oy! prepare for our first victory party tonight!
Japanese Soldier: Indeed, General Mihamoto. But general, I am probably wrong, but I’ve heard this rumor going around lately.
General Mihamoto: Oh yea? Well what’s it about
Japanese soldier: You... probably won’t believe this. But, i’ve heard that Admiral Yi Sun-Shin has returned.
General Mihamoto: (looking at the soldier like he’s a psychotic maniac) A what...?
Japanese soldier: they... they say that Admiral Yi Sun-shin has returned, and is on the Korean side to help with this war.
General Mihamoto: Are you talking about THE Yi Sun-shin. The one from 500 years ago, with the Turtle Ship?
Japanese soldier: (silently) yes... I believe so...
General Mihamoto: Turn around
(Japanese soldier turns around and face back from General Mihamoto)
(Mihamoto smacks the soldier’s head. The soldier falls down violently)
General Mihamoto: No time to fool around. Get real.
Japnaese Soldier: (quickly gets up) I... I apologize deeply general... I was just sharing the rumor that I heard.
General Mihamoto: That can’t be real. No need to worry about a RUMOR. Don’t you understand we’re in a war here? We have to focus to the reality!
Japanese soldier: Yes, General Mihamoto!
General Mihamoto: Now go and prepare the ships for our attack!
Japanese soldier: Yes sir!
(soldier hurriedly walks away. General Mihamoto stares through the open sea. But suddenly General Mihamoto jumps back in surprise. He spots a Korean ship. He realizes that it’s not an ordinary Korean ship, for it looks very different and much more advance. Sooner or later, he realizes other Korean ships begin to appear, surrounding the Japanese fleets)
General Mihamoto: What the... all troops assemble! Get ready to attack!
Japanese solider: General... is... is that... who I think he is...?
General Mihamoto: No... but it can’t be...!
(from the opposite end, Yi Sun Shin appears with a confident posture)
Yi-Sun Shin: Hahaha, how are you doing General Mihamoto. I’ve heard a lot of about you.Yes, it’s a surprise isn’t it?
General Mihamoto: I don’t get it... how can you... you be here?!
Yi-Sun Shin: Pshh, it’s a long story my friend. Let’s not waste time here rambling about our past. I think both you and I know why we’re here, right?
General Mihamoto: Even if you really ARE Admiral Yi-Sun Shin, don’t you think Japan will fall for the same trap twice!
Yi-Sun Shin: Ah... that, right. Sorry my friend, I think you guys already have. Take a look around you. You guys are trapped.
(General Mihamoto looks around, and realizes there’s literally no way out)
General Mihamoto: How dare you...
Yi-Sun Shin: Attack!!!!!
(the battle begin, and the Korean navy easily destroys the Japanese navy)
(After awhile, the atmosphere is now completely towards the Korean fleets)
Yi-Sun Shin: Great. (looking towards Agent X) We’ve got this, don’t let any of the Japanese escape!
Agent X: Yes sir.
(from behind a Japanese soldier secretly takes out a high-tech sniper and aims at Yi-Sun Shin’s heart)
Yi-Sun Shin: Don’t give up! This battle is ours!!!
(right then, the Japanese soldier fires and a bullet runs through Yi-Sun Shin’s chest)
Yi-Sun Shin: Ugh....!!
(dramatically and slowly, Yi-Sun Shin falls down)
Agent X: Admiral! Admiral! Are you alright sir?!
Yi-Sun Shin: (coughs) I should’ve been more careful...
Agent X: (worriedly) I’ll call the paramedic right away. Just hold on Admiral!
Yi-Sun Shin: No it’s no need. (hits Agent X’s head but very weakly due to his lack of strength) Think you dummy, we’re in a middle of a battle! What’s more important? A single person’s life or the entire nation? Don’t worry about me and go back to the battle.
Agent X: No... no! We have come this far together Admiral. I can’t let you go, just not now. You have to see our nation win. You have to lead us!
Yi-Sun Shin: Foolish. I’m no need anymore. You guys have everything that you need to win. (sighs heavily and deeply) If i die... if... i die....
Agent X: No! Don’t you say that word Admiral!
Yi-Sun Shin: If I die... don’t let the enemies know about my... death.
(Yi-Sun Shin then dies immediately. Agent X breaks in tears. Scene slowly fade to black, end of scene)
(President Kim comes up front to give the death speech of Yi-Sun Shin)
President Kim: Fellow Korean citizens, I stand here to announce very, very tragic news. Despite our great victory against the Japanese troops, the Republic of Korea has witnessed a mighty death of a national hero. His name, belongs to none other than Admiral Yi Sun Shin. Born in April 28, 1545 and died in December 15, 2050, Korea’s greatest general has sacrificed his life to bring a victory to our nation. His great achievements of forging the original and the modern Turtle Ship as well as his daring and victorious naval tactics shall never be forgotten. A new age is approaching, and today, we give our farewells to our past. This is for a brighter better tomorrow.
